More animal footage including young deer

 A curious young red deer

Just a badger coming home

I move the cameras regularly as I can see that some are worried about them and I have moved them away from setts - which means I have less footage now due to the bracken and grass obscuring their activity. This is one badger up close and personal:-

I like to see the deer wandering around slowly - if I see them at the wood they are always running scared. Sensible as humans do shoot them in area. It is nice to see them more relaxed like this one in one of my favourite areas of the wood:-

I like this shot of the young deer looking out into the open area beyond the trees

Once again the beck has given good results from the cameras - these lovely new born fawns area a treat to watch

Watch this one to the end and you can see that these are roe deer fawns

There are teenagers about too

This shows the benefit of the spots on the roe deer fawns

And this still even more so - those spots work perfectly

I did want to capture young badgers - this is a young one but I missed the tiny ones playing.

Many many shots that I capture are triggered by the wind rustling the bracken and I have to process thousands (seriously) to get this selection. Occasionally I keep one as it gives a good feel for the wood including the sounds and season.

And here is a badger wandering through the grass - now that would just be the bracken jiggling about as s/he moves around

Sometimes the wildlife behaves just as you would want

And they just hang around in shot

And not just the wildlife 😀 - I had completely forgotten about this camera trap!

But mostly its the wildlife I photograph!

And here I caught 3 deer all hanging out together

A red deer mum with her fawn passing through

And a badger strolling along looking for food I assume with another badger scurrying off top right

And these little fella's pop up from time to time too

I have only managed to see one badger when up at the wood and that took over half an hour of sitting in silence, not moving a muscle. I have seen squirrels and deer. No fox yet. It is only by having these cameras that I realise how much goes on at the wood when I am not there.
